  • I’ve spent most of my life as a creative, working alongside health, wellbeing, and people. Music, movement, nervous systems, conversation. I’ve always been sensitive to energy and to what sits underneath what people say. Over time, I’ve learned that real conversation is often where deeper understanding begins.

    Life taught me through experience rather than theory. Through relationships, mistakes, growth, and long periods of questioning. I learned by living, not by trying to perfect anything.

    Four years ago, my sister passed away. She was my closest person, my best friend, and the one who knew me from the very beginning. Losing her changed the trajectory of my life completely. There was no way around the pain, so I learned how to sit with it. Not to fix it. Not to reframe it. Just to stay present with it.

    That period opened something deep. I began to see my own subconscious patterns more clearly. The ways I avoided discomfort. The ways I lived from conditioning rather than truth. Grief became a teacher, showing me how much of life is shaped by what we resist.

    From there, my interest in breathwork, meditation, and inner awareness deepened naturally. I trained with a range of facilitators and disciplines, but the most profound learning came from life itself. From listening. From slowing down. From being with what is.

    Over time, the work became about helping people come back to themselves. Beneath the noise of the mind. Beneath the roles they’ve learned to play. When people reconnect with that deeper truth, clarity tends to follow. From that place, change feels less forced and more honest, becoming something that integrates rather than something that’s added.

    Everything I offer now is shaped by that journey, and by the experience my sister gifted me. She remains the quiet heartbeat behind this work, and I honour her each time I hold space for others.

  • With nearly 30 years in the wellness space, Paul began his journey as a physical training instructor in the military and a high-level competitive rugby player. After leaving the army, he accumulated extensive qualifications across a diverse range of modalities—from advanced body mapping and functional assessments to Olympic lifting, gymnastics, and nutrition. Over the last 13 years, Paul has been the founder of CrossFit Solihull, where he’s woven all that knowledge into a unique blend of rigorous fitness and mindful practice.

    Since 2020, Paul has deepened his expertise by studying with leading figures in the nervous system regulation space—names like Brian Kelly, James Nestor, Patrick McKeown, and Wim Hof—bringing a rich understanding of breathwork and nervous system regulation into his practice.

    In the midst of all this learning and growth, Paul’s life was turned upside down by the profound grief of losing six beloved family members, including his wife and the mother of his two young children.

    These practices became his anchor, helping him navigate immense loss and transform his own life.

    Now, at the Experience Zen Den, he offers this wealth of personal and professional knowledge in a deeply personal 121 coaching setting. Each session is tailored to match the right modality to you for maximum benefit.

    Absolutely, anyone can do breath work. As long as you are reasonably healthy, you are ready to take on a transformational breathwork journey.

    Transformational breathwork can help reduce stress and anxiety, promoting emotional release which can lead to mental clarity. Additionally, it can improve physical well-being by increasing energy levels, allowing you to rebalance and have a feeling of more autonomy over your life.

  • Who should seek advice before participating?

    Individuals with certain medical conditions such as severe asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, or a history of significant psychiatric conditions like schizophrenia should avoid breathwork unless cleared by a healthcare provider. Pregnant women should also consult their doctor before participating.

  • What kinds of sensations and emotions might I experience?

    Participants often report a range of sensations such as tingling, warmth, or energy flow throughout the body. You may feel many different emotions which enables a sense of release. Each experience is unique, and these sensations are part of the healing process facilitated by the breathwork.

  • What is a typical transformational breathwork session like?

    During a session, you will typically lie down in a comfortable position while a facilitator guides you through specific breathing techniques. The session includes powerful music, affirmations, and verbal guidance. You might experience various physical sensations and emotional responses connect deeply to the breath.

  • What if I don’t know what to expect from session?

    It's natural to feel anxious about the unknown.     It's common to worry about losing control when taking on the unknown, but the facilitators are trained to create a safe and supportive environment.
